Beyond Nuclear was honored and privileged to join a coalition of more than 40 environmental and anti-nuclear organizations across the country, led by Natural Resources Defense Council, in submitting this powerful public comment to the U.S. Department of Energy on March 30, 2020. Allied signatories include those in places already hard hit by uranium mining over decades past, targeted again now for renewed uranium mining, such as these groups in New Mexico: Southwest Research and Information Center; Concerned Citizens for Nuclear Safety; Multicultural Alliance for a Safe Environment; Red Water Pond Road Community Association; Eastern Navajo Diné Against Uranium Mining; Nuclear Watch New Mexico; Laguna Acoma Coalition for a Safe Environment; and Post 71 Uranium Workers Committee.
