Beyond Nuclear will participate as a presenter and panelist in the Energy and Environmental Study Institute’s fourth briefing of Congressional members and staff on a host of nuclear energy issues including climate change, radioactive waste, decommissioning and environmental justice. Beyond Nuclear’s presentation will focus on the industry effort to extend atomic power plant operating licenses to ever more dangerous extremes from 40 to 60 years, now 80 and next 100 years. Amory Lovins, an adjunct professor at Stanford University, is the keynote speaker on the economics of nuclear power vs. renewable energy, efficiency and climate change.
