Yucca Mountain advocates pursue more nuke waste funds

As reported by the Las Vegas Review Journal.

(Please note -- the Yucca dump scheme  is for permanent disposal, not "storage," as the article reports.)

It is not just the State of Nevada, and the Western Shoshone Indian Nation (and other indigenous peoples, including the Goshutes and Southern Paiutes), but also 1,000+ environmental groups, which have successfully resisted the Yucca dump for 32 years and counting. Here is  partial list:

Yucca dump proponents, like U.S. Reps. Fred Upton (R-MI), Mike Simpson (R-ID), and John Shimkus (R-IL), are essentially saying "Consent-based siting? Screw Nevada!"
