Yucca Mountain
Yucca Mountain, the Nevada-based, scientifically flawed and politically unjust proposed high-level radioactive waste repository has now been canceled. However, pro-nuclear forces in Congress have not abandoned Yucca and funding is still allocated to the project.

Trump administration still angling toward Yucca Mountain, Energy exec says
As reported by South Carolina's Aiken Standard.
This is a remarkably fast policy reversal-reversal (sic), even for the Trump administration!
Trump tweeted that the Yucca dump was dead on Feb. 6th; by Feb. 12th, Trump's nominee to become the #2 official at the U.S. Department of Energy contradicted that, essentially saying the Yucca dump "ain't dead YET!," to borrow a line from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Even zeroing out Yucca Mountain funding can’t spit shine this budget

When President Donald Trump opted not to include funding for a nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain in his proposed budget, he made sure to let Nevadans know about it by tweeting, “Nevada, I hear you on Yucca Mountain ...”
And it ends:
Meanwhile, even his decision on Yucca Mountain is no reason to celebrate. As he’s shown countless times, this unhinged president could change his mind anytime for virtually any reason.
Nevadans must put an end to this in November.
