World Nuclear Waste Report launches in the US: Free webinar!

The US launch of the World Nuclear Waste Report will happen on Thursday, December 3 from 1pm-2:30pm during a free, online transatlantic discussion.

Hosted by the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Washington,DC, the event will feature presentations by Allison Macfarlane, former chair of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and now professor at the University of British Columbia, who wrote the report chapter on the US; and Germany-based political scientist and energy expert, Arne Jungjohann, the editor of the report.

The comprehensive report covers every aspect of nuclear waste including its costs, categories, risks and management options. The presentations will be followed by a moderated discussion by Linda Pentz Gunter of Beyond Nuclear and a question and answer session with the speakers and the audience.
