President Obama nominates Prof. Allison Macfarlane to Chair NRC

Rather than take the easy, industry friendly way out, by nominating one of the currently seated NRC Commissioners to chair the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the White House has tagged George Mason University Professor Allison Macfarlane to replace the outgoing NRC Chairman, Dr. Greg Jazcko, to chair the federal agency charged with safety and security oversight of the nuclear industry.
